Introduction
Al Basheer, an Arabic word meaning “good news”, was founded on the premise that knowledge of the “Divine” coupled with spirituality and connecting with humanity will eradicate ignorance, hate and violence in the world. Al Basheer is an Islamic Seminary that aspires to cultivate Muslim leaders through scholarly education and trainings in order to emphasize the importance of Qur’anic scriptural teachings of “change & diversity”.Al Basheer offers a unique opportunity to a new generation of Imams and female scholars through Islamic and open discourse, interfaith & cultural exchange, and public diplomacy programs for Muslim leaders in America and abroad. Al Basheer seeks to inspire religious and community leaders towards service and global citizenry through Al Basheer’s seminary, interfaith center and institute.
